Why should you do the CISRS COTS Course

CISRS COTS training is a single day course that is conducted for those who are applying for their first CISRS Scaffolding Labourer or CISRS Trainee Scaffolder card. This course is mainly seen as a requirement in the United Kingdom.

On the event of passing the exam, the candidate will be awarded the CISRS Scaffolding Operative Training Scheme certificate. In addition, the training institute that issues the certificate will also apply for CISRS scaffolders labourers or CISRS scaffolders trainee card on your behalf.

Price of the COTS training varies in different training institutes. However, there are Grants and Funding that are provided by some employers to complete the course certification. Candidates may check this with the training institute or the employer for more information on the funding.

It is mandatory that the candidate complete the CITB Health and Safety and Environment Test within the past 2 years of applying to COTS. This is a mandatory requirement since last year.
