A CSCS card is becoming increasingly mandatory in order for an individual to potentially access and operate within a building construction site environment. It acts as proof that the card holder has been officially trained in the health and safety of their respective trade and that they hold an industry recognised qualification.
There are many different CSCS card types so it is important to remember that failure to have the correct card for your skill level or trade could result in you being unable to get work on a safe, professionally run construction site. Please be aware that spot checks are often carried out on sites using handheld scanners to ensure the authenticity of the card. An invalid card or a card that does not cover the job that you are doing could see you being asked to leave the site immediately.
