Course overview:
The Level 3 Diploma in Bench Joinery qualification has been developed for delivery in a training environment; this means that you do not need to be employed to study this qualification. It has been designed to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding so you can work in Bench Joinery in the construction industry or progress to further training. This NVQ qualification requests the learner to demonstrate, in a real workplace environment, that you are competent against a set of performance statements. You are assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you through your programme of learning.
Course Content:
The learner will cover knowledge in three core subject areas:
– Health, safety and welfare
– Technical information, quantities and communication
– Construction industry and built environment
The Learner will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in:
– Set up and operate woodworking machinery to create curved work
– Manufacture shaped joinery products
– Set and mark out for shaped joinery products
Entry Requirements:
The minimum age requirement for this qualification is 16+; there are no further entry requirements to take this qualification. This means that you can undertake this qualification without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
Duration:
3-6 months. Whilst you are working on site you will be visited by your assessor who will guide you through each part of the process, observe you working and provide the highest levels of support until you complete your qualification.
